Succeding in University Studies
For most students, University Studies (UNST) is the foundation of their academic career at PSU. This section will help you learn how to navigate UNST and plan for your academic future.
In your major, it's the topic (biology, sociology, etc.) that connects the series of courses you take. In
University Studies, our general education program, it's a set of common values that ties the courses together. As a freshman, you'll take a three-term sequence of Freshman Inquiry courses (FRINQ). The choice of which sequence to take is yours. Typically this decision is made when you attend New Student Orientation. Talk to advisers about FRINQ and to student orientation leaders to learn more about which sequence they took and what they recommend.
If you want to learn more about anything at PSU, ask questions. Talk to your peer and graduate mentors. They know what it takes to succeed in University Studies and at PSU, and they can help you succeed as well.
